These are the classe's, training's, work and certification's I/My assistants/apprentices have attended or acheived over the years. I/we are continually furthering my/our education and keeping up with certifications and  professional affiliations.

To encourage, support, and educate expectant women and their families. To facilitate safe, healthy, empowered pregnancies and births for low risk woman. To strengthen women and their partners in prenatal health, birth issues and safety and postpartum, breastfeeding and parenting  skills.

1998

2000

  • Congenital Tongue-Tie - Anterior and Posterior (the 4 types of tongue -tie) and its impact on breastfeeding training.
  • Co-started /co organizer of Greater Atlanta HB meetup and pregnancy meetup (bring in speakers with knowledge in specific area's or come up with topics and events of interest, many educational meetings)

2009

  • Attended a Bold red Tent Event

  • Became a Doula mentor for GBN

I have also stayed involved in teaching and participting in local meetings and trainings For Childbirth Educators, Midwives, Students and Doulas. Organizations I try to keep my memberships up to date:  HSLDA,  GHEA, Local HS group or groups, HB meetup, pregnancy meetup, LLL, ICAN, NCFOM, NCMA, GBN, GFOM, GMA, MANA, NARM, Holistic Moms, Local co-ops and more. I will be letting my NC affiliations and memberships go over the next year and joining more GA  and wide spread organizations. Besides newsletters from the above organizations I also like to keep current - Mothering Magazine, Midwifery Today and several smaller publications and when I can a few online Journals.  The speakers I have enjoyed through pregnancy meetups have been (Dogs & Storks™  program practical exercises and help guide parents through the thought process of how and what may change for their family dog when the new baby arrives) (Moms supporting Moms - Anne Wimer and a Dr. who specializes in PPD) Vaccine awareness by Allen Phyllips) Many video showings) Chiropractors on the benifits of care during pregnancy and how the body changes during pregnancy and PP as well as chiropractic topics on how chiropractic care can benefit newborns)
